aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have resided abroad for at least 6 months<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the vehicle is introduced for usage (that is, legalized and receiving a registration plate) when the residence\u2019s transfer to Portugal is carried out<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be the owner of the vehicle in the country of origin for at least 6 months before the transfer of residence to Portugal, counting from the issuance of the document which proves the ownership (registration certificate\/ownership registration certificate) or from the date in which the vehicle\u2019s lease contract was concluded (in the case of leasing)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have purchased the vehicle in the country of origin or in a country where resided previously and paid all the required taxes in that country, without profiting from any fiscal benefit when the vehicle was brought to Portugal.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each person may only request the exemption for one vehicle.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<span style=\"font-size:20px;font-weight:700;color:#1a1b1e;\"><b>WHEN ?<\/b><\/span><br\/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can request the exemption from the tax within twelve months from the Portal<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><br\/>\n<span style=\"font-size:20px;font-weight:700;color:#1a1b1e;\"><b>REQUIRED DOCUMENTS<\/b><\/span>\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customs Vehicle Declaration &#8211; DAV<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/info-aduaneiro.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt\/pt\/publicacoes_formularios\/formularios\/Documents\/Mod_1460_1.doc\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Model 1460.1 \u2013 Requests within the scope of ISV<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registration certificate\/Ownership Registration Certificate of the vehicle to be legalized<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Citizen Card (or identity document or passport + taxpayer card)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Official residence certificate issued by the country of origin, which proves:<\/span>\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that you are registered in the resident\u2019s registry of that country<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the start and end dates of the residence in that country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everyday life document to prove the residence in the country of origin, namely: receipts of house rental, water or electricity, payslips or proof of contributions for health and retirement schemes.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorisation for the consultation of the tax and contributory situation or, in its absence, a certificate proving the cleared tax and contributory situation (Decree-Law no. 114\/2007 of 19 April).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<b>For the assignment of the national registration plate to IMT<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you must also prepare the following documents:<\/span>\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imt-ip.pt\/sites\/IMTT\/Portugues\/Formularios\/Documents\/Mod9IMT.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">certificate of compliance, model 9<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Institute for Mobility and Transport (IMT)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">technical inspection certificate (model 112) issued by a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imt-ip.pt\/sites\/IMTT\/Portugues\/Veiculos\/PesquisaCentrosInspeccao\/Paginas\/PesquisaCentrosInspeccao.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">technical inspection centre &#8211; CITV<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<b>To enter the Tax Authority Portal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you can use:<\/span>\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">access data to the Tax Authority Portal<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Citizen Card, PIN codes and card reader<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autenticacao.gov.pt\/web\/guest\/chave-movel-digital\/autenticacao\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital Mobile Key<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:
