What clients say
What is the Certificado de Antecedentes Penales?
It is the official criminal record certificate issued by Spain’s Ministerio de Justicia. It certifies the existence — or the absence — of convictions recorded in the Registro Central de Penados, the central register of convicted offenders.
A clean record produces a certificate that says so, and that negative certificate is what almost every procedure asking for one actually wants to see.
- Your identity, as registered with the Spanish authorities.
- Any convictions recorded in the Registro Central de Penados.
- A statement that there are none, if your record is clean.
- The date of issue.
- A verification code the receiving authority can check with the Ministry.
- The official e-Apostille, so it can be used abroad.
We take care of the whole procedure
We provide this service to Spanish nationals and foreign nationals alike — anyone who needs their criminal record certificate issued by the Spanish Ministry of Justice. You will not have to deal with forms, fee payments, electronic identification, or chasing the status of your file:
- We file the application with the Ministerio de Justicia.
- We pay the administrative fee.
- We follow the file until the certificate is issued.
- We send you the certificate digitally as soon as it is available.
- Your NIE — the application identifies you by it.
- An FNMT digital certificate — we obtain one for you unless you already hold it.
- A bank account in your own name, stated in the application: the official state fee is charged from it, and it is used for nothing else.
Missing any of these? Tell us and we obtain it for you first.
What you pay, and why the FNMT is part of it
The Ministerio de Justicia issues this certificate through its electronic channel, and an application there has to be signed with a recognized electronic identity. That identity is the FNMT digital certificate: without one we cannot file in your name. So the order form includes it by default, and it is the larger part of what you pay — the certificate itself costs only the official state fee.
If you already hold a valid FNMT certificate, you can switch that line off in the form after confirming it, and the certificate is charged at a flat rate instead. Either way it arrives with the official e-Apostille.
Certificate + FNMT digital certificate
€152.84 Official state fee €3.84
FNMT digital certificate €149
The FNMT is what lets our team file with the Ministerio de Justicia in your name, so the order form keeps this line switched on unless you tell it otherwise.
Certificate only
€49Switch the FNMT line off in the order form — it asks you to confirm your certificate is valid. The flat rate carries the filing work the FNMT package otherwise absorbs.
Paper original by tracked mail Optional
+€79 — The certificate always reaches you by email, apostilled and ready to use. Add tracked postal delivery if the authority you are dealing with insists on the physical document.
From your first message to the certificate
Our team runs the procedure from beginning to end and stays with you throughout:
- We review your case and tell you what it needs.
- You upload your identity document and sign the authorization.
- We file with the Ministerio de Justicia and pay the administrative fee.
- We follow the file until the certificate is issued.
- You receive the certificate by email.
No forms to interpret, no fee to work out how to pay, no electronic identification to set up, no file to chase. You give us the documents once, and the next thing you handle is the certificate itself.
