How I can apply for visa?
Apply from Spain
If you are legally present in Spain on any visa or document, including a tourist Schengen visa – you can directly apply for a three-year residence permit, which can later be renewed for an additional two years. The key requirements for applying for the Digital Nomad Visa from within Spain are having legal presence in the country and no criminal record in Spain or any country where you have lived for more than six months during the last two years.
Apply at the Spanish consulate (outside Spain)
You can apply for a one-year visa at the Spanish consulate in your home country or country of residence. Upon your arrival in Spain, this visa can be converted into a three-year residence permit.
You have two options: either use the visa solely for entry and begin the modification process immediately, or live in Spain for the entire year and start the modification process two months before your visa expires.
However, if you choose the second option, you will not receive a residence card during the first year, and this initial year will not count toward long-term residency eligibility in the future.
